Greetings to all! Wow, how times flies when one ..... is busy :) Back from Victoria, boys did really well but their placing didn't show it, they played hard and well, just a bit of bad luck on their sides! Oh well, I enjoyed their games and visiting with my friends in Victoria!
Hardly believe Christmas has come and gone, and now we're waiting for 2007! We had a wonderful white Christmas and I had both my kids with me this year :) so that was fun, we went to the outdoor skating oval and tried out our Nordic blades, (always thought Tracey would be a wonderful speed skater and I still believe that after seeing how quickly she caught on to the Nordic blades)! Of course she can already leave me in the dust skating even with the blades for her first time!! For those of you who don't know what they are, they're bindings (ski bindings) put on skate blades, that are longer than regular skate blades and make the skating feel like speed skating and is truly alot faster than regular skates. You wear your ski boots even, really neat, and fun! Matthew of course played hockey in the center part of the oval with a number of different guys from small to big! All had fun and got an appetite for our turkey dinner! Santa was good to us all, and like Melissa, I got a cricket machine too (for scrap booking...kind of like a dye cut machine). Now to make good use of it, I better do a bit more scrap booking in the New Year, stilllllll haven't completed my Bowron Lake photo's! Must get organized!
Not sure if I mentioned or not, that I'm now working part time out at the ski club here, I do some teaching/coaching of skiing to the school groups during the week, and other times work inside doing the rentals and day passes, figured it was a perfect job for me, and is only seasonal and part time :) I'm enjoying it so far!
Yes, right now I'm the paper girl to end our year off with, as Matthew and the team are in Burnaby playing in a tournament right now, they left on the 26th of December so it's keeping him in shape and busy!! We have hockey every weekend in January so, hopefully he doesn't catch the second half of this cold I have. He was coughing before he left but was on his way to recovery, and well now I've got it....guess he'll have no time to be sick again, or hope not anyway, he's got try outs next weekend for best ever under 16 year olds to compete in, to try and make a Spring team to compete with the other zones of the province......
So here's to ending a busy year and to a start of a another fun filled year ahead!!
Hope you all had a great Christmas and all the best in 2007! I'll try to be a bit better at "blogging" in the new year ;) ....I'm sure my friend Melissa will keep me honest on that one!?
Cheers!! Esther :)
